In 1993, Coastal debuted its state-of-the-art Clarity Multimedia CD-ROM courseware, which uses video decompression technology to deliver interactive, multimedia training via the computer. Each Clarity course features live-action video, high-end graphics and hands-on exercises that test the employee's knowledge and improves decision-making skills. Coastal currently offers nearly 100 Clarity CD-ROM courses -- in MPEG and Indeo formats -- in the areas of safety and environmental, healthcare, human resources and technical skills training.

In 1999 is ClarityNet™, a web-based training system developed to train employees via corporate intranets. ClarityNet maintains the critical features of the Clarity CD-ROM-based courseware: scalable content, complete tracking and courseware administration, and -- most importantly -- total client customization of off-the-shelf courses.
